NEKIAH AND NEZETTA

Image
Hey Dolls! I'll get right to it...if you want to knock your Boo's socks off - you must purchase this dress! This is my 3rd Igigi dress and it's hands down my favorite of the three. In fact, it may be my new favorite dress in my closet.  I've never felt so confident, beautiful and sexy in a dress as I did in this one. The ruching on the side and in the back is genius in that it has a wonderful slimming affect. The fit hugs your curves yet has plenty of give so that you can move freely. I can't stand form fitting dresses that constrict me. I believe that navy flatters every complexion (not as harsh as black) and the specs of gold give it that perfect bit of ooh la la that I look for in a cocktail dress. Want to know the bonus? This fabulous belt was included!   Dress: Igigi Nezetta Plus Size Cocktail Dress in Navy/Gold  (courtesy of Igigi) Belt: Comes with dress (SCORE!) Shoes: BCBG Earrings: Vendor Cuff: Target With LOVE, Kiah

Hey Dolls,  This girl has gone GUGU for DemestiksNewYork ! My second purchase from the line was this fantastic Gugu Wrap Coat. Isn't it insanely fab! My husband was not a fan of this piece but for some reason that made me love it even more. It's funny how the pieces our men aren't really feeling turn out to be the ones we adore. Talk about Man Repelling at it's finest! haha Can someone please tell me..why the day is perfect until you decide to take some photos! Just as soon as I struck a pose, the wind came gusting through like a tornado! I could not get my coat to lay in the right position to save my life - UGH! It will be painless....I promise! ;-) Coat Dress: Thrifted (dotted by me) Orange Collar: DIY Polka Dot Scarf: Found in my closet Sunnie: Vintage Shoes: Adrienne Vittadini Belt: Lane Bryant With LOVE, Kiah

THE CURVY COPYCAT: LANVIN

Image
Hey Dolls, I'm so excited to post my first installment of a new series called "THE CURVY COPYCAT". These installments will include designer looks re-created and rocked by yours truly. As we know, popular designers for brands like Burberry, Prada, Gucci, etc. don't make their items in plus sizes. Many don't make their items for anyone over a size 8. This is mind boggling considering the fact that the average woman is a size 14!  My first installment was inspired by the designer luxury brand "LANVIN". The insect embellishments, Mr. T. like layered necklaces and beautiful brooches pricked my fashion heart.  I searched high and low for insect brooches and pins but every single one that I wanted was in the price range of about $40. Could you imagine the cost to get several! Umm, no way! I decided to DIY all of my accessories. I had so much fun tapping into my creative side! ;-) Here's my look....   Jumpsuit: DKNYC Shoes: Lane Brya

TEAL LINES

Hey Dolls,  I can't begin to tell you how happy I am for the weekend to finally be here! It has been an exhausting week at work. I plan to relax and finish up all of my DIYs for my 1st designer like look.  Today, I found these fabulous vintage high waist pleated purple slacks in my closet. I've had them for about a year but have never worn them. They paired perfectly with my vintage contrast trim blouse. I kept accessories light with just a pair of purple drop gem earrings. Blouse and Pants: Vintage Sunglasses: Kenneth Cole Earrings: Lane Bryant Shoes: Nine West Have a great weekend! Kiah

HOLES IN MY DRESS

Image
Hey Dolls,  When I get bored you just never know what I'm gonna do! lol I actually planned to do this look with a leather skirt but thought I would use an old dress for practice first.  I made the circles by hand with a matching pink marker and then cut out the circles with hand scissors. After doing some research, I see that they actually sell circle cutters so I must invest in one to practice prior to doing the skirt!  With the skirt, I only intend to cut a few rows of circles along the bottom of the skirt so that a little leg can peep through. I think the leather skirt would look amazing with a silk tie front blouse!!!! Black Dress Underneath: Robbie Bee Pink Dress: Anne Klein (holes DIY by me) Boots: Anne Klein Earrings and Bracelet: Lane Bryant **Blog News** I'm going to add a new feature to my blog re-creating designer inspired looks. So excited for this!! Stay tuned... With Love, Kiah

BA STAR MAKEUP

Image
Hey Dolls, I'm known as a fashion blogger but I'm also a huge lover of makeup! My go to look has always been gold or bronze highlighted eyes and cheeks along with a bold lip. BA Star was kind enough to send me a sample of their Stardust Mineral Eye Shadow and Glue Shadow Base.   Like me, you've probably never heard of this brand. BA STAR is the #1 makeup for performers, dancers, & cheerleaders.  Strut your stuff on stage, on the runway or at play!  Look at this beautiful look that was created using the Bronze, Chocolate and Gold Stardust Mineral Eye Shadows! Apply Stardust Loose Mineral Eye Shadow lightly for a soft shimmer or use along with the glue base to create a deeper dramatic look.  Here's a video to get the look above BA STAR Stardust . My daughter and I tried the Stardust Mineral Eye Shadow in the color Bronze and we love it. She's a dancer so the staying power of the shadow along with the glue base will be great for performances.
