"S"ELEBRATE IN SEQUINS

Image
When I think of New Year's, I think of fun sparkly things...sequins in particular! I know it's sometimes hard to come up with something to wear so I decided to do a post on what I would wear to a New Year's Eve party. I hope it inspires someone! ;-) Did everyone have an awesome Christmas? I did! I got a new camera and a fabulous dress! I am currently with family in Arizona where I have already done a ton of shopping. I scored 3 vintage hats and a vintage fur cape in my Grandma's closet!! One of the Lane Bryant's here is closing and they had everything marked down with an additional 60% off. Needless to say, I will be rocking a lot of LB in posts to come. I can't wait to show you all what I have found! Dress - Vintage Fur Stole - ASOS Clutch - ASOS Shoes - Modern Vintage With Love, Kiah

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!!

Image
CHRISTMAS DEVOTIONAL Excerpt taken from "The Real Meaning Of Christmas" By Martha Noebel CBN Staff Writer Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. His birth brought great joy to the world. Shepherds, wise men, and angels all shared in the excitement of knowing about this great event. They knew this was no ordinary baby. The prophets had told of His coming hundreds of years before. The star stopped over Bethlehem just to mark the way for those who were looking for this special child. Why did He come? Why did God send His son to this sometimes cruel and hard world? He sent Jesus to us so that one day, He would grow up to become a very important part of history. His story (history) is one of truth, love, and hope. It brought salvation to all of us. Without Jesus, we would all die in our sins. Jesus was born so one day the price could be paid for the things we have done that are wrong. The Bib

I know I speak for all of my Fashion Divas when I say "I LOVE SHOES" and the higher the better! We women will sacrifice comfort for cute in a New York minute to "rock" a pair of fabulous feet candy!! lol You know the kind of heels that make grown women drool like babies do for that awesome sweet sucker! Need some examples? Check these out! Talk about YUM!! YSL CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN GIUSEPPE ZANOTTI JIMMY CHOO MIU MIU You can close your mouth now! lol Fabulous? YES! Comfortable? NO! Research shows that on average when a woman wears heels like these her feet start to hurt after about 30 minutes! Can you believe that?! Today I had on a pair of heels for 2 hours and my feet hurt so bad I thought I was going to die! Then I remembered this pair of Flats To Go that my friends over at "Kushyfoot" sent me to try out. ATTEN...TION!!

Image
Last Saturday my daughter and I went to see the Dallas Black Dance Theatre company perform. My daughter's teacher, who is in the company, was kind enough to give us 2 tickets. What a BLESSING!! They did an amazing job and my daughter was so inspired and motivated to get more focused on her dance. It was very spur of the moment so I had to wear what I already had on. Ironically, it was a tutu!! lol Because this outfit has sort of a ballet meets military theme I thought it would be fun to pose in some military positions. Position 1: "ATTEN...TION!!!" (with a handbag of course) lol Jacket: I.N.C. (Macy's) Dress worn as skirt: Isaac Mizrahi (QVC) Boots: Sofft Handbag: Michael Kors Sunnies: F21 Belt: Lane Bryant Position 2: "SALUTE" Thank you for all of your encouraging comments on my previous post. It can be somewhat uncomfortable letting complete stangers "IN" but I am so glad that I did. I felt it was important to let you all know that I love f

ME

Hey Y'all! I had an outfit post to share tonight but I decided to do something totally different. Tonight I would like to share some personal things about me. I think it is fun to find out a little bit more about our blog friends. It is obvious that I love fashion but it is important to know that that does not define me. I am a true living being with a job, family, responsibilities and a BIG personality! haha Hope you're in the mood to read! ;-) 1st fact about me...I LOVE to read! Here is one of my favorite reads. Career wise I am an Executive Administrative Assistant and I currently work with Mechanical Engineers. They are all men!! Don't get excited they are soooo not eye candy!! LOL Any who, I have worked with all men my entire career. I started out in the Air Force and then worked in the Aerospace industry for a few years. I only have an Associates Degree in Business Administration but I am a very hard worker and have always worked my way up. I have thought about goi

PSYCHEDELIC PRINTED PRINCESS

Image
I purchased this printed top a few months ago while thrifting and I love it! Today while browsing through my closet I realized that it matched my Asos Curve skirt perfectly. This print is a bit psychedelic and the skirt is very princess like so I thought it was a super fun match up. Clutch is Asos and boots are Sofft. I have been wearing these boots daily. They are just so comfy and they look great with medi skirts/dresses. Hope you like it!  I was featured in the December issue of Skorch Magazine. Check out my Gucci inspired look here....  Kiah in Skorch December issue . With Love, Kiah
