Hey Dolls, I'm obsessed with the "Lace-Up" trend! Lucky for me there are lots of versions to choose from: lace up shoes, dresses, corset tops...the list goes on and on. I found this entire outfit (shoes included) at Lane Bryant.
Hey Dolls, IT'S FALL Y'ALL!! While I'm super excited about this fact, I know that many of you are NOT! For some Fall brings the "blues". I can understand that the thought of dark grey skies along with bone chilling cold weather could bring anyone down - but for me - it means that I get to wear real fashion.
I decided to play on the subject of "Fall Blues" by rocking this amazing cobalt blue asymmetrical dress from Lane Bryant. I paired it with a leather jacket, lace-up booties, and one of my favorite faux fur scarves. For me this would be a great dinner date outfit on a cool evening.
My sunnies are vintage.
I found them at Dolly Python here in Dallas a few years ago.
It's good to see that braids are back in style because I pretty much rock them daily. I feel so "now". lol
I'm obsessed with this blue-grey lippie from NYX's new Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick line. It's called "Stone Fox". GO GET IT before it sells out!
So tell me, are you excited for Fall or do you have the blues?
Hey Dolls, Tomorrow is the official start of FALL! Woop Woop! I love Fall and have already started transitioning my home and wardrobe in preparation for the cool weather that's soon to come. Here are some of my "Fall Essentials".
Candles and Coffee are two of my Fall Essentials! I love my home to smell warm and spicy in the Fall. My go to scents are sandalwood and apple cinnamon. The hubby and I really enjoy a nice cup (or two...or three) of coffee. Lately, we've been fans of Community Coffee. It's inexpensive and really good!
September Issues are a must! One of my favorite past-times is to catch up on all the "new new" in fashion.
A great cozy blanket or throw is a no brainier for Fall. There's nothing like snuggling up in a soft, plush blanket on those cool nights at home.
I picked up this faux rabbit throw and then later found matching pillows. Score! A simple change out of accent pillows can take your living room from Summer to Fall. s/n: I'm looking for some colored pillows to pair with my black and white ones and will also be changing out my flowers.
My favorite fall beauty essentials include a great warm scent and a bold vampy lip. Coco Chanel Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum is my signature scent and Mac "Sin" lipstick paired with Mac "Nightmoth" lip liner is just WOW!
When it comes to Fall Fashion I have 3 essentials. 1.) Hats 2.) Faux Fur 3.) Booties and Over-the-knee Boots
IT'S FALL Y'ALL!!! What are your Fall Essentials? Parachute, a luxury bedding company, inspired me to write this post. Their "Commitment to Change" truly touches my heart.
Hey Dolls, I decided to add a taste of Old Hollywood to my new apartment decor with a bar cart. I feel like I'm seeing this little entertainment essential everywhere. Seriously, we should deem this "The Year of the Bar Cart"! Bar carts are a great way to store your drinks (doesn't have to be alcohol) while also showcasing your style and personality.
I love to display cute tea towels on my cart that can easily be switched out to change the look of my cart. Home Goods, Marshalls, and Paper Source have great options!
Personalize your cart by adding initial decor. I got this gold letter "T" from Hobby Lobby.
Find a great background for your cart. I used a pop of color on a wall but floor mirrors, large pieces of art, or wallpaper serve as great backdrops too.
Food and drink books are perfect accents for your cart because where there are drinks...well...there's always food. When entertaining have fruits for drinks out for guests (limes, cherries, etc.). It's no secret that I'm obsessed with all things pineapple. I found this pineapple wine decanter at Pier 1 and the gold pineapple is from Joss & Main.
I love fancy straws and unique cups/glasses. These Moscow mule mugs are awesome and I picked up the pink dotted paper straws from Target.
I'm sure you all are wondering....hey, where's the booze! lol My husband doesn't drink AT ALL, and I rarely do. Occasionally, I will indulge in a glass of wine and have selected a few that I will add to my cart come Fall. I'm partial to reds (merlots, malbecs, shiraz).
